CONTRACT MANUFACTURING AT HOMA
From planning and construction, cutting and mechanical processing to welding and locksmithing work. We offer our customers the entire spectrum of steel and plant construction in our contract and contract manufacturing.
HOMA FURNACE COMPONENTS
Our high current lines will be designed, manufactured and supplied in accordance to the customer requirement. During the engineering stage we made all electrical and mechanical calculations to receive the optimum performance.
CONTACTORS FOR RAILWAY APPLICATIONS
DC Switches are used in the railway industry as Earthing and Shorting Switches, Disconnectors and Contactors. In cooperation with our sister company RITTER Starkstromtechnik, HOMA can supply Load Break Switches (up to 100kA) and hand controlled Disconnectors.
SWITCHES MADE BY HOMA
We manufacture DC switches for a variety of DC applications. These can operate under voltages of up to 3.000V DC. The HOMA product range includes switches and switching combinations with positive and negative contacts.

HOMA MOTOR STARTER APPLICATIONS
Applications in the industry: Water processing, motors (MW range), pumping stations, large air conditioning systems. The use in these applications is to switch the application on or off.
OPTION: HOMA OVER-CURRENT SENSOR
Device for expanding the function of large contactors for over-current deactivation. The device enables the monitoring of up to three phase currents. If one of the thresholds set via the jumper is exceeded, the coil current (field current) of the large contactor is interrupted.
CABLES & BRAIDS BY HOMA
Flexible connections are manufactured with cross sections between 25 mm² and 4.500 mm². High current cables with round- or flat-connection with cross sections between 95 mm² and 8.000 mm². Bus bars with a thickness of 5 mm to 15 mm and a width of 20 mm to 200 mm.

HOMA CIRCUIT TECHNOLOGY
NF-/MF HIGH CURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKERS
Air cooled, to switching off load (List 145E. Edition 01/2008). Current cut-off switches are control switches for frequent switching on, cutting off, or changing over off-load conditions and accordance with the Regulations for Switchgear VDE 0660.
For on-load switching (List 507E. Edition 01 August 2001). Induction furnaces for the heating and melting of metals possesses a deleterious power factor. In order to charge the supply mains only with active power, static capacitors are used to compensate for the reactive current.
NF-/MF HIGH CURRENT CIRCUIT BREAKERS
Water cooled, to switching off load (List 427E. Edition 01/2008). HOMA circuit breakers are built in accordance to the regulations for switching devices VDE0660 for frequent switching ON or OFF, or for switching from one circuit to another under off-load conditions.
For on-load switching (List 616E. Edition 01 August 2001). Induction furnaces for the heating and melting of metals possesses a deleterious power factor. In order to charge the supply mains only with active power, static capacitors are used to compensate for the reactive current.
For off-load switching (List 280E. Edition 01/2008). Mains frequency and medium frequency air contactors for switching off load are electro-magnetically actuated no load switches. They are used for example, as capacitor contactors or as rotor short-circuit contactors.
For switching on-load (List 549E. Edition 01/2008). HOMA air-break contactors with negative main contact elements (break contacts) are used to brake and shortcircuit motors, generators and choke circuits.
To switching on-load (List 350/1E. Edition 01/2008). HOMA-air contactors serve the purpose of switching on and off DC and AC equipment of any kind (inductive and non-indúctive loads).
For switching off load (List 624E. Edition 01/2008). Air-break contactors with negative main contact elements (break contacts) are used to brake and short-circuit motors, generators and choke circuits.
DIRECT CURRENT CONTACTORS
With braking contacts (List 625E. Edition 01/2008). HOMA air-break contactors in this list are suited to disconnect excitation windings of synchronous generators and exciters and to immediately extinguish the stored magnetic energy via a negative contact.
HOMA High Current Cables
(List 687E). HOMA manufactures their water-cooled cables for electric furnaces (AC and DC) by a fully automatically working production line.
AIR- AND WATER COOLED CURRENT CABLES
(List 502E. 01 August 2001). Water-cooled HOMA cables are used for the transmission of high-currents in movable current dissipating installations.
